Photos of: Fairborn 4th of July Parade 2021
The 2021 4th of July weekend turned out to be an amazing weekend to hold the much-anticipated return of parades!
Fairborn did not have a parade last year so it was great to be able to not only have the opportunity to have it again, but it was also clear skies.
This year, Fairborn and the VFW Post 6861 honored 101-year-old Sgt Herman Holt Ret. Army and his son E-4 Specialist Melvin Holt.
A classic, the Fairborn High School Marching Band took part in the parade this year again. They put on a great performance!
The parade this year was narrated by Rob Anderson, the city manager, and Meghan Howard, the communications manager.
The Fairborn 4th of July parade also featured a flyover this year!
A few weeks ago, a driver ran into the Fairborn veterans memorial and the flagpole had to be removed. In its place this year, the Fairborn Fire Department attached an American flag to the end of one of their ladder fire trucks and raised it high into the sky!
It was also great to see the Dayton Antioch Bobbies take part in the parade this year as well!
